The Fairways Cantina Women’s Open Championship takes place at Morris Williams Golf Course in Austin, Texas On Saturday April 25th.

9:30am - Registration Opens (Check-In desk situated in Pavilion. Players will receive their welcome bag, range token, cart key, team score card, player cart sign and rules sheet)

10:30am - Rolling tee times begin

After the round, join us at the cantina for a Taco Bar and frozen Margaritas, then head to the pavilion to socialize, follow live score tabulations, and celebrate our contest hole winners (Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive).

Two-Woman Net Accumulated Shamble.

Red tees will be used for all players.

Shamble - Both players tee off, team selects their preferred shot, both players complete the hole, using their own ball, from this location.

Net Accumulated - Both players scores will count on every hole. Players final hole score will take handicap into effect. Players should mark their gross score, tournament committee will perform net adjustments.

Feeling adventurous? Let us randomly pair you with a fellow player and make a new friend on the course — or bring your partner in crime and provide their name at registration. Either way, the choice is yours! Enter ‘needed’ in the preferred playing partner field in registration to get an assigned partner.

Flight prizes will be awarded on May 16th at the Evening Award Party, starting at 7pm.

The winning team will hoist the Fairways Cantina Women’s Open Championship trophy and have their photo displayed in the clubhouse along side the trophy for the next year.

Championship Trophy will be awarded to best gross team score.

Cash prizes will be awarded to both best gross score and best net score in all 3 flights, creating opportunity for all players to win!

We will meet back at the cantina for an evening of celebration on Saturday May 16th.

Event start time is 7pm

We will have music and entertainment from acclaimed local bluegrass band The Owens Brothers.

Dinner will be provided by Fairways Cantina and will consist of our famed Tex-Mex appetizer spread and the Cantina Taco Bar.

Event Sponsors, Heaven Hill, will be providing free frozen margaritas in addition to hosting an Elijah Craig tasting experience.

Event sponsors St Elmo Brewing, Zilker Brewing and Austin Beer Works will be providing a range of beverages free for your consumption.

While the band breaks and refuels we will announce tournament winners, prizes and our winning raffle tickets.

Flight Criteria

Championship Flight – Players with established handicaps or competitive experience (approx. 0–18 index or avg score under 90)

Players Flight – Intermediate golfers who play regularly (avg score 90–105) 

Social Flight – Newer or recreational golfers (avg score 105+ or no handicap)  

Expected pace of play: Under 5 hours.

Maximum handicap differential between players is 10 strokes. Teams will be able to form outside this range, however, tournament organizers will reduce the highest handicap accordingly.

Ties will be resolved using the countback method.

Following play, scorecards must be submitted to the PGA Professional at the check-in table.

The tournament committee reserves the right to verify handicap indexes and make adjustments or disqualifications for inaccurate reporting.
